PROJECT
Project 2: Hard Surface Modeling
In this project, students are tasked with creating a themed scene-based environment according to the provided concepts. We need to utilize various polygonal modeling techniques that have learned throughout the course to bring the concept to life. Referencing images or blueprints, help us to craft the objects and ensuring the scene's appearance looks better by applying necessary materials and textures. We are required to apply supplementary element include perfecting lighting and rendering methods using either the 'Eevee' or 'Cycle' engines to establish the tone and feel of the view. The final output will be presented in a diorama or isometric composition, reflecting the ability to combine learnt abilities into a visually appealing scenario.
Here are some reference designs that inspire me:

By incorporating the suitcase idea, I planned to create an isometric scenario with a small room theme. After watching various YouTube videos related to the topic, I probably had an idea of what objects my room would include and a rough idea of the structure. Then, I begin my modeling process.

Besides than just apply colour and materials, I also used UV Editor Tool to unwrap and texturing the objets to bring it to life.

REFLECTIONS
Experience:
Working on the final project, Character Modeling of the module was an engaging and enriching experience that allowed me to gain insight into the complexities of character design. I got to use the techniques and concepts that I had acquired to make the characters I made more interesting throughout the project. My understanding of the 3D modelling process was improved and I gained important insights into the technical aspects of character modeling through exposure to principles like texture UV layout and lighting setup.
Observations:
During the project, I observed the importance of meticulous attention to detail in character modeling. Understanding the character structure was essential for creating interesting and aesthetically pleasing characters. Additionally, considerations for UV layouts for texturing highlighted the significance of efficient UV mapping in enhancing the visual appeal of characters. Through hands-on experimentation and iterative refinement, I gained valuable insights into the technical and artistic aspects of character modeling, fostering a deeper appreciation for the craft.
Findings:
This final project yielded valuable findings regarding the complexity and depth of character creation in 3D modeling. Mastering all of the knowledge and operations proved essential for achieving realistic and expressive character models. The project underscored the importance of both technical proficiency and artistic creativity in character modeling, emphasising the need for a balanced approach to achieve desired results.
