Projects

Individual Project 1(a) - Instructable Infographics

In this task, we are required to create an infographic poster for ONE recipe selected from Pasta Grannies

Study one video, breakdown and chunk the preparation and cooking process into an instructable poster. Try to capture each Grandma’s personality and unique dish identity in your poster as part of the narrative structure.

After a general review, I decided on Albina's Cheesy Mashed Potato Pie as my choice.

Requirements:
Poster size: 1240 × 1750 pixels / 2048 × 2048 pixels

To start off, I made some visual references to let me have a general direction to design my poster.

After determining the effect I want to achieve, I started using Illustrator to design it.

First, I selected the colour scheme for the design.

Since I'm not satisfied, I tried on another layout.

Individual Project 1(b) - Instructable Infographics

Use the assets from Project 1 Instructable Infographic poster into a 60 secs motion graphic.

Requirements:
Max 60 seconds infographic video 720p: 1280x720 pixels (H26/mp4) published on YouTube (set to Unlisted)

First of all, I arranged the composition in Adobe Illustrator to facilitate subsequent animation work.

After Effects was then used for the associated animation work, and I effectively completed this task by putting the knowledge I had gained from the earlier tasks and practices.

With the knowledge and skills I learned in the classes, I also used motion blur and ease ease in a smart way.

After the animation is done, I render the video out.
