PROJECT

Theme: Climate Change or Topics of Interest

Requirements:
  1. Voice-over, sound effects, and music can be used, to tell a compelling story. 
  2. Confine to no more than 2 characters/ locations and only 1 event in less than 15 shots.
  3. The storyboard must be presented and get approval before the principle shoot.
  4. Final video is to be submitted in digital format:
    • Screen Resolution: 1080p(Full HD), 16:9(Wide Screen)
    • Frame Rate: 24/25fps
    • Field Option: Progressive Scan
    • Audio Quality: 48kHZ, 16-bits stereo
    • Compression: H.264

Task: Stop Motion Video / Visual Effects Video

In this task, work in pairs. Therefore my partner is Kor Qian Qian 0359496.

After discussions with my partner, we decided not to follow the climate change social awareness topic which was set by the lecturer. Instead, we came up with the idea of using Lego characters to create a story about making potato chips in a factory in the form of an advertisement.

First, we drafted a proposal for Mr. Martin to review. After getting feedback, we improve deficiencies for approval.

Then came the actual shooting process.

For the instrument, we decided to use the phone app - Stop Motion Studio to help us with the filming part.

In terms of follow-up editing, we assigned work tasks to each other and worked together to complete them. One person will do color grading and add the subtitles, while the other will add sound effects and background music.
